Pete Welch has spent his entire professional career in the hospitality renovation industry. He established Continental Contractors in 2003 after working for two other hospitality-focused general contractors the prior 12 years. It would be during this time that he would start to gain the invaluable hands-on experience of running projects--first in the field as an assistant superintendent, superintendent and a short time later as an estimator and project manager. These early experiences helped form a foundation of understanding of not only what goes into all stages of a complex renovation project but also what makes it successful.

He is one of the most experienced and forward-thinking CEOs in the hospitality renovation industry today. Pete has personally managed every type of renovation project from public spaces, thousand-room properties, disaster recovery, to exteriors and historical renovations. He has developed relationships with industry leaders and studied hospitality and construction industry trends to stay on the cutting edge. It is due to his approach and in-depth understanding of the industry that Continental has grown into one of the leading contractors in the industry. He has been able to bring together a strong team of professionals that share in his vision to consistently deliver value, quality and trust in every relationship.

Pete Welch earned his undergraduate degrees from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He enjoys spending time with his wife Tracy and their three children Lexi, Calvin and Dallas at their home on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
