Tucked away in the beautiful Cranberry Woods suburb, the newly renovated Pittsburgh Marriott North brings the dramatic and extravagant temperament of “the steel city” inside. Architect/Designer Winegardner & Hammons made sure that the lobby and atrium expressed every form and texture that steel can possess: molten, rigid, bent, smooth, rusted, even reflective. Continental enjoyed bringing this fresh, modern design to life, from pouring new concrete into the sunken lobby to installing impressive millwork throughout the lobby, atrium, restaurant and other public spaces in record time. The dark wood and metal panels and nooks along the walls and dark metal, ember-like light fixtures create a warm and dynamic environment.
